Well this morning Burt got a phone call from his cousin at 6 am...... after that we laid in bed for about an hour and I just couldn't sleep. After I got up and tended to my rank morning breath The girls were up and out and poor sweet Irie just looked miserable. So I went into the Kitchen and made us all some waffles and thought maybe she was just tired and she would perk up..... Well after 20 minutes of snuggling and rocking her she was back in bed at 7:50.
Gracie is also the Queen of acting like she is sick at age 3. I'm gonna have a really hard time once school comes around and she want to skip. At breakfast she told me that her belly hurt and that she needed some medicine, So after I gave Irie some Tylenol for her fever I rinsed out the syringe and filled it with water and gave Gracie a little taste. Seriously 2 seconds later (Yes, I mean one Mississippi, two Mississippi seconds) She exclaimed I feel so much better and then ate the rest of her waffle and what was left of her sisters. Maybe I should just feed her a placebo more often. :)
Today's Craft- The Yellow Brick Road Skirt out of my fabric scraps book. Pictures to come. Hopefully tomorrow :)

This and That
My Girls Hugging on Valentines Day...Can You feel the love?
Princess Gracie in her new Princess Dress
She insisted I get a picture of her Crown.
This is how a princess holds her dress to walk upstairs. She was very serious when showing me how to do this. (Apparently she is a very talented tap dancing princess too)
I am so excited because I finally got a chance to re-order some scentsy..... My house is a lil bit stanky (not really, it just doesn't smell delicious like mocha-doodle or sugar cookie) and I have cleaned my house so maybe the idea of a yummy smelling clean house was in order.
I am only 7 days away from getting on a plane and flying to Vegas. I have my sitters figured out (Thanks Grandma, Grandpa, Papa, and Grandma Great! You are amazing. I hope you get some great quality time with the girls and are ready to send them home as fast as you can by the time we gat back ;))On The agenda...... Gambling, Going out dancing, eating, swimming, go to the Jabawokeez, maybe another show if we have time, golfing, I'm enjoying a spa treatment or two, and roller coasters. Can't wait. My anniversary is going to be amazing!
I have been sick for about the last week. Burt swears up and down that I have major issues and have no immune system what so ever, I simply blamed my busy life and let it go. He told me I needed to eat more things off the floor or go eat some deer poop and that would solve my lack immunty. As hillarious as he thought it was, I though it was disgusting and shuddered at the thought. Even though I was sick I have had a fantastic crafty DIY week.
I refinished an old piano bench that I picked up at the DI for $6. It was ugly and now its teal. I mean all I really did was spray paint it with a can that claimed the color was "Lagoon" But I still like it and gives Burt a place next to his chair to put his cereal bowl, drink, wii remote, whatever.

I was wondering through Hobby Lobby the other day... as I usually do every time I go to Logan, and I found myself looking at a rack of books. Books on DIY weddings, making fondant cakes, beadwork, scrapbooking for St. Patty's Day and I came across a book that I have fallen in LOVE with. Sewing Bits & Pieces- 35 Projects Using Your Fabric Scraps By Sandi Henderson. Having a garbage bag full of scraps from my different projects I have worked on over the 3 years I have been back I was intrigued. Flipping through the pages I found two tutorials on how to make a stuffed Owl and a Stuffed Bunny. Well think about buying a scentsy buddy but not wanting to dish out the $50 for each of girls I thought why not make them these cute stuffed animals buy the scentsy packs and make a pouch to put the smell good in and then there bedroom would smell good too. So I did and this is what the finished product looks like. They love them and they seriously only took me about an hour each. Ahhh, I love easy.
I have been working on Skirts Skirts Skirts for my girls since it is going to be a skirt kinda spring. They definitely look like they are home sewn but the girls chose the fabric and they love them so far. Still have alot more to work on but here is a begining look at what we have gotten done.
Gracie wanted this Purple Sparkly Ballerina Fabric and points to the Blonde and says this is gracie and the brunette and says this is sister and the lil black girl and says this is mommy, I guess there wasn't a red head.
Gracie Also wanted this Lil' Mermaid Fabric. Ever since her grandma bought her Lil' Mermaid Panties she has been way into her. She asked me the first time she wore them, "Mommy, when you were a lil girl, did you have Lil' Mermaid panties too?" Somewhat shocked and thinking about it I answered, "Yes, I am actually pretty sure that I had Lil' Mermaid Panties growing up too"
What a cheeser. Burt Said She Looks like a Pliglet. (Coming from an FLDS fam I guess this is there slang for a polygamist kid)
FOR THE REVEAL.... One of my Bustle Skirts...... Totally cute, frilly and Girly. Irie looks so sweet. Pigtails and skirts..... totally girl. She doesn't stand very still so getting photos of my Sweet irie can tend to be a challenge. She has a ballerina skirt that matches her sisters too.

I recently bought a waffle maker and am so in love..... My family is big into breakfast so buying a waffle maker for waffles is delish and super easy..... But having a waffle maker for brownies.... WHAT? say it isn't so! I mixed up a regular brownie mix put it in the waffle maker for about 5 mins and poof, you already have hot brownies that are yummy. and doesn't everyone like the brownies on the side of the pan? This is like that... BUT ALL OVER! A Little icecream and chocolate syrup and voila a delish brownie waffle treat that took no time at all..... Seriosuly! I think I am going to try chicken and waffles next.

My Girly Girls..... Oh wait, excuse me, PRINCESSES!
Yesterday Grandma Great and Papa, came back to the lake bearing gifts. (My children are spoiled and this is a bi weekly thing for them) The brought up Irie a miniature stick horse that even her 9 in inseam legs can ride on and brought Gracie up a Princess Dress from the D.I. and a new Princess Crown.
Of Course the first thing that gracie wanted on this morning was her princess Dress and Crown. Finishing up My Bustle Skirts I decided the girl would wear there cute skirts today and I could take some pictures and share. So I ask Gracie should we put on your cute skirt mommy made you..... "NO! I'm going to wear my princess skirt" Not wanting to fight with this diva and always capable of taking a picture later I gave in. What a nice Queen I am!
Today I am driving Kylee and Alicia down to Logan so alicia can take Treyden to his well check. I think that I am goign to take this opportunity to go and look for furniture to refinish at the D.I. Reuphoulstering and refinishing is my 2011 learn how to project. I am also thinking about refinishing my computer desk. Right now it is my bedroom (which I somewhat like better than having an office) which is red, cream, and brown. I would love to paint it a cream color but with little children and finger prints and scuff marks I dont think that would be the wisest desicion.... So I'm going to paint it Red. I really like this idea, I'm not going to tell burt till its done, besides he would be a total buzz kill on this one because he is supposed to be the "handy" one.
Anyway, should make for an exciting Craft finding day!
Best regards!
Andrea

Happy Valentines Day!
Valentines Day at the Carlisle home is always special. Burt Proposed to me on Valentines Day in 2008 :) So we always try to make sure that we do do something very sweet and special. Well since we have Vegas coming up for the anniversary we are doing a very low key stay at home valentines dinner.
Me, being the amazing wife I am decided that I should buy Burt Donkey Kong country returns for the wii. I like getting him these kinds of gifts because at least we get to play together and I get to totally get new skills while he is away at work during the day. Gracie has been running around like a monkey for days now and I blame it on Donkey Kong.
Burt being the amazing husband he is bought me a Dwarf lemon tree. I LOVE IT! I can't wait for it to get here so I can start to take care of it. It is sunshine in a pot! I will post and let you all know how my dwarf lemon tree is coming along once I get it.

I also have made chocolate dipped strawberries. Anything my brother dips in chocolate is always much prettier than mine but hell I thought they were pretty anyways.
Hope you all are celebrating this lovely holiday even if you are single. You still have people you love, You just are missing out on the sexy time stuff..... Maybe next year, Killer. ;D
P.S. The Mrs. Fields cookies my mom sent me are adorable! I love em but am not loving the extra inches you have grafted on my butt. (Hope your having fun on your cruise you brat!)

My Hipstamatic Prints
So I have a Friend on Facebook who has been posting these adorable vintage looking prints from her iPhone..... Me having an iPhone I had to get get this app, and believe me...I LOVE IT! Everything is so colorful and vibrant. A great way to capture that little bit of whimsy that I want to get when I take a snapshot of my kids. This app you can change the flash, the lenses, and the film to get different retro feels. I love it here are a few of my favorites!
Here Is my Gracie playing with her car in her toy room. She loves her toy story 3 backpack and was looking quite DIVA-ISH.
My Sweet Irie. We were at Grandma Greats and she was washing her dishes. I just love her big eyes. They look like her mommas when she was a wee one.
My Gracie. Dirty face that was coming from a sweet treat. She looks happy about eating those brownies too :)
Dad and Sister fast asleep in his chair. I guess this is just one of those priceless photos that you can't help but take.
Burt passed his GED so me and Irie decided to decorate our front room with baloons and crepe paper to make it festive for the occasion.
Irie Loved helping mommy blow up ballons.
She had to pose like her Grandma so this is what we got out of her. So cute!

VIVA LAS VEGAS! Countdown- 20 days!

In 20 days I will be boarding a flight to Las Vegas for my anniversary with the man. I am so excited I cant even stand it! So I decided to make a list of things that I need to accomplish for Vegas. Here's the list-
- Meet my weight watchers goal weight (3 pounds to go)
- Get a spray tan, not Mistic. I went to a spa party and had a woman spray me and I can't remember what company she was through but I'm gonna figure it out cause I didn't look like a carrot afterwords and loved the finish. (NO STREAKS- YAY!)
- Put together an art supply tote bag for Gracie so she can take it from her sitters house.
- Save up my dance money for the month
- Find a killer air & hotel deal.
- Find a killer golf club rental and green fee deal.
- Maybe a little bit of shopping (No shoes, but some cute new tops and underthings ;P)

A monster quilt for a new little monster!

Can't wait to see you Baby Oliver! I'm sure you will be adorable all wrapped up in your monster blankee!
Internet is back up, let the blogging begin!
We'll we are all moved and things are great so far! We like the new place its smaller and doesn't have nearly as much storage but there is nothing wrong with COZY, right? The girls are loving there huge toy room almost as much as me loving haveing a garage big enough for me to park in...... So nice to not have to go out in sub-zero temps to start my car and give in 20 mins to warm up.
So on the Dieting front I am 3 pounds away from my goal of 125.
Last time I weighed 125......
President Bush was in Office,
I loved John Mayer and was singing BIGGER THAN MY BODY, non stop.
Season 2 of american Idol was on (even though I never watched it)
The chapelle show and da Ali G show were in there first season,
I got my drivers license,
I was 16.
Now 8 years later I am ready to be more fit than I was back then. I am loving my Zumba classes and am thinking, BESIDES cutting out all of the junk, That ZUMBA has been my key.
Tonight I am going to try to bake some Talapia... Being someone who really is not a big fan of fish.....this is huge step for me and my weight loss goals. I am willing to try something new if it will help me in the long run.
Kisses <3
